MASTER PORTFOLIO CHECKLIST
ALL DOCUMENTS FOR THE MASTER PORTFOLIO ARE ON THE SCHOOL WEBSITE IN THE “SENIORS” SECTION (http://schools.fwps.org/fwhs/seniors/)
Master Portfolio Check List - The YELLOW copy needs to be in front of your Master Portfolio when it is turned in.

Components of the Master Portfolio:




    1. Cover Letter – Is a letter of Introduction for a perspective employer.

    2. Resume - A template for resumes is on the web page, or you can use your own.

    3. 3 Personal References - also known as a character reference, is a reference provided by an individual who knows you and can vouch for your character and abilities.

    4. Letters of Recommendation – Students need TWO Letters. There are no exceptions!

Give teachers plenty of time to write your letters.

    1. College essay or three paragraph essay describing where you see yourself in 5 years.

    2. Applications – Just one application is necessary. It must be completely filled out.

    3. Graduation Requirement Credit Check Form. – Use your current transcript to fill this out.

    4. Current transcript -a copy of student’s transcripts will be handed out at November SLCs, THIS DOES NOT HAVE TO BE AN “OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT”.

    5. State Assessment Results- Test results will be handed out in Academic Focus in the spring.

    6. SAT, ACT and/or AP test scores.

    7. FAFSA/WASFA application – (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) All students interested in financial aid for college will need to complete this form. 

An Opt Out form is available from Ms. Boone in the Career Center.
Optional Items: These are things that you might want to showcase.
One to three items of your best works: Maybe a prize photo or piece of art work. A great essay you wrote. You might also want to include work experience, any certificates you have earned for Academic, Community or Sports achievements.

ALL ITEMS MUST BE IN THE MASTER PORTFOLIO WHEN SENIORS PRESENT THEIR PORTFOLIOS AT SLC’S in April, 2017
