My ad was based on a new product called a touch screen desk. The new tsd is an environmental desk that students use at school. These desks reduce the use of paper and parents buying school supplies. It’s out of this world, and one of the most extraordinary products in the market. You can’t even compare it to the other brands. The desk uses a computer monitor and touch screen services to increase academic scores of students while providing a critical base are students need to learn. The desk is programmed based on grade level and is powered by light in the class room. The desk can be used to write, take notes, textbooks, tests, books, and etc. One desk comes with a 20 virtual pencils used to write on desks. This product it amazing!
I used the appeals of exaggeration strategy, advertising, statistics, and name calling appeals. Exaggeration: I took the basic idea of a desk and exaggerated it. I also made the desk seem more technical and interesting. Advertising: I used persuasive words that give the buyer a picture in their mind. Statistics: I used statics to show how my product was chosen instead of the other brands. I also used it to show how much better my product is. Lastly I used name calling appeal to distinct my product from the other brands. I compared my product to a brand called ppd desks. In my ad it compares the two to each other. I also added lots of color so that the person looking at my ad will be interested in it. I used colors such as blue, white, and black and put the colors around things needed to catch there attention. I also used the plain desk chair to grab their attention from a distance. A plain desk will intrigue a person to make them want to know what is being offered.
My ad will be featured in school magazines for schools. My company will also have commercials, and meet with school congress to indorse the tsd product for their schools. My target audience will be the school board and administrators. This is because they are the only ones that will need this desk in their schools. By selling it to the schools will increase money coming into the company because schools need large amounts of desks. Creating this ad I used different technologies. I used power point and drawing format to make the design busy but interesting. My ad wants to make schools feel like they have to have the desk to better their students. My ad was made to make school board feel that they have to have the desk for schools and to improve students test scores while saving the environment. In regard to Maslow’s pyramid my advertisement is trying to make you feel the need of esteem needs. The ad is telling you that you can achieve with the desk. The ad is saying with the desk you will gain recognition. It also is saying a little of aesthetic needs. This is because it makes you feel that you’re gaining order with this one desk at your schools.
Overall my ad is very effective. Making the ad was really easy. This is because of all the technologies I used. Next time I will try to add the pictures of the desk on the ad .This will probably let the person see how the product looks like. This assignment has helped me understand the media better and how they make ads to influence us teens. I really liked this project.
