Once your citation has been exported from your database into EasyBib, check it for errors. If you find a mistake once the citation is added to EasyBib, click the blue “Edit” link that appears under the citation. Here are some common errors you may find and how to fix them:
If the entire URL (web address) appears at the end of your citation, this is incorrect. In MLA 7, web addresses aren’t necessary to include in your citation. Here is how to remove it: After you click the Edit link, scroll down to the box that says “URL” and delete the text in it. Then click the orange “Revise Citation” button.
If the article title appears in all capital letters, this in incorrect. In MLA 7, only the first letter of the first word in the title should be capitalized. After you click the Edit link, scroll down to the box that says “Article title” and correct the capitalization errors in the box. Then click the orange “Revise Citation” button.
