Though Science scores improved dramatically in the eighth grade, high school scores remained very low. This was partly due to the lack of a fully equipped science facility. It was also a function of rotating Biology and Physics classes in the ninth and tenth grade years. If the student had taken Biology as a freshman, it would have been almost a year since he had has any practice in the subject. Beginning in 2009-2010, Biology is offered in the tenth grade only.
