Attending to the bid closing and opening. It’s the work of the procuring and logistic unit to attend to all bids closing and opening to witness the process.

This chapter includes activities and assignments I undertaken during the field attachment at Simlaw Seeds Company Uganda limited.
An activity is a measurable amount of work performed to convert inputs into outputs. The following are the activities I carried out during the field attachment at Simlaw Seeds Company Uganda limited.
Orientation. I was oriented on the first day of training and received by the human resource manager. Orientation and induction involved the introduction in order to get acquainted to the roles and responsibilities while working with Simlaw Seeds Company Uganda limited. During the Orientation I was introduced to the staff and the different departments in the organization. The human resource talked briefly about the history of the company, its vision, and mission and core values. I was given rules and regulations to follow during the time of field attachment. Orientation was done to enable me to get familiar with the company and the staff. After orientation, I was then allocated to the procurement department and assigned a field Supervisor who was responsible for allocating the activities to be performed.
