This project is consists of 4 mains parts which are the source, the three phase inverter, the three phase induction motor as a load and the arduino uno controller.
The first part is the DC source to give the power for the whole system.
The second part is the three phase inverter. The general function of the inverter is to convert the DC voltage to the AC voltage.
In this system, the three phase inverter will be used because the load is the three phase induction motor.
The controller will generate the pulse width modulation (PWM) to feed into the three phase inverter and rescale the output to power up the load. The gate driver is used to amplify the PWM signals generated by the arduino uno board. This include to produce the appropriate gate signals to drive the MOSFET.
In general, the first step designing the three phase inverter and the gate driver circuit, the process were done using PROTEUS 8.6 software.
The conclusion of this study is to Design and implementation of Three Phase AC Drive system to control speed, torque and direction using SVPWM Technique. It is related to the need of the customer and the sound relationships between the motor, machine and motor control. Because motor is the device that enforces the machine to does work.
SVPWM technique can be used to control both torque and speed of the induction motor by varying the frequency and current of the AC waveform being delivered to the motor.
Significant saving of electrical energy can be achieved by different methods: Improving the power factor, Slip energy recovery, Variable speed drive and Captive power generation.
The task of variable speed is to convert electrical energy into, mechanical energy, with a minimum loss.
