Pros and cons of zoo In this composition I am going to discuss about the zoo. There is a great controversy on this subject, because some people think that zoos have a range of advantages, and others affirm that it has a number of disadvantages.
On the one hand, some people affirm that zoos have a range of advantages. They play an important role in wildlife conservation. For instance, they may help to protect some endangered species and provides a safer and secured environment for them to grow.. Furthermore, scientists can study about animals in this menagerie and their behavior. In addition, zoos, for children, are educational and interesting. For kids visting the zoo can be a good experience as they meet animals they learn about in books and television. Last but not least, wild animals injured or abandoned in the forest are brought to the zoo where they get proper food and medical treatment. As a result, the chances of survival increase for them which would not have been possible in the jungle. Moreover, they are under the supervision of the Zoo authorities who are responsible for their well being and also respond to emergency situations.
On the other hand, those who against above opinion complain that zoos have a number of disadvantages. Firstly, zoo animals are kept in artificial environments. As a result, this can make them stress. Furthermore, there is a fact that we, human beings have no right to use animals for entertainment, but zoo are doing this.
In short, although there is a great debate on this matter, I believe that the positives of zoos outweigh their negatives.
Positives and Negatives of Globalization A lot of attention is paid today to the process of globalization, but the general public often lacks understanding of this concept and its influence on the worldThere is a great controversy on this subject, because some people think that globalization has numerous advantages, and others affirm that it has a number of disadvantages.
On the one hand, some people affirm that globalization is not always beneficial to everyone. Firstly, companies can move to countries where labour is cheap. Consequencely, this create redundancies, or job less. Moreover, institutions sometimes exploit their employees in developing countries. Hence, employees cannot be confident that they have stable jobs.
On the other hand, those who against above opinion complain that globalization has an positive impact on our life in many different ways. A global economy means free trade between countries. Moreover, multi-national companies do business across the world. As a result, companies like MacDonald’s can be seen on high streets in most cities. In addition, globalization can also create opportunities for employment. Thus, it could reduce poverty in the developing world.
In short, although there is a great debate on this matter, I believe that the positives of globalization outweigh their negatives.Furthermore, it is no doubt that globalization ultimately encourages countries to be more willing to cooperate with each other and, thus, helps in realizing both personal and mutual goals in a much quicker and more efficient way.
