(erstwhile Flexible Engagements in Knowledge Institutions)



It envisages lateral movement of scholars/academicians into the institutions to take up projects and research work related to main objective of the institutions and enriches them with a new creative edge.

The main purpose of this fund is to host cultural visits by foreign dignitaries organize meetings/conferences under the cultural agreements. During the year 2013-14, new CEPs will be signed/ executed under the Cultural Agreement with various countries. And organize meetings/ conferences under the Cultural Agreement.

Formulating strategic approaches through specific sectoral interventions in the form of CEPs.

Cultural visits/meetings/conferences with the foreign countries are organized in consultation with the Ministry of External Affairs.

Financial Assistance for the Preservation and Development of Buddhist/ Tibetan Organizations

To promote and propagate the scientific development of Buddhist/ Tibetan culture and Art.

Depending upon the receipt of eligible applications and subject to recommendation of the Expert Advisory Committee.

-MoC advertises in the leading newspapers requesting for the eligible organizations to apply under the Buddhist Scheme duly recommended and forwarded by the State Government. On receipt of the applications, this Ministry places the same before the Expert Advisory Committee for their recommendations



Preservation and development of Buddhist/Tibetan Art and Culture.




The number of proposals to be approved by the Expert Committee will depend upon the quality of the project and capability of the organizations.

To provide financial assistance to voluntary Organizations for celebration of centenary/anniversary of important personalities and events.

The results of bulk of the Projects taken up will be intangible which cannot be measured in physical terms. The effect of these programmes is in character building of the youth and in awakening them to work towards nation building. This can only be felt in the long run. Only those projects which are taken up to facilitate propagating the teachings and message of Swami Vivekananda such as making a film, building of exhibition halls, schools, improving infra- structure in hospitals , holding conferences etc. will be of tangible nature which can be measured in physical terms. But these will be secondary achievements yet to take off and are subservient to the main objective of building up the character of the youth of the country.

The programmes/ projects which are approved by the NIC are being taken up for implementation. Only those projects which are taken up for propagating the teachings and message of Swami Vivekananda such as making films, building of exhibition halls, building of schools, improving of infra- structure facilities in hospitals etc. will be taken up.



Completion of the Projects

depends on the availability of funds. However the endeavour will be to complete these projects in 2013-14 and 2041-15.



Due to budgetary constraints Implementation and funding of the proposals will carry over to 2014-15.

(b)

150th Birth Celebration of Guru Rabindranath Tagore


To commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Guru Rabindra Nath Tagore in a befitting manner and to spread his works to the people.

The proposal that were approved by the NIC are being taken up in 2012-13 and 2013-14. Funding will be provided as approved for such proposals.

The approved proposals will be completed.


It is expected that the proposals implementations will be completed in 2013-14 and 2014-15.

To provide financial assistance for Development and Maintenance of National Memorials

To impart monastic education and preserve ancient Buddhist traditions.

Monks students enrolled in this Institute will be provided Buddhist education and philosophy. Along with traditional education. Including butter sculpture and sand Mandalas.

Imparting education is a ongoing activity for preservation of ancient Buddhist traditions and its past glory.

Activities of this monastery are financed from the funds allocated for NE region. Normally, non plan funds earmarked for salaries and admin. Purpose.

To promote, preserve and protect the Tibetan Culture, encourage exchange of ideas and techniques Tibetan and Non-Tibetan artist & Craftsman.
