The Spirit of Innovation Challenge invites students ages 13 – 18 from around the globe to Get Their Genius On and conceptualize a solution in the areas of: Aviation and Aeronautics, Cybersecurity and Technology, Energy and Environment, Health and Nutrition Scholarships.
Global Lift Equipment Scholarship

Deadline: 11/1/2013 The Ron Brown Scholar Program seeks to identify African-American high school seniors who will make significant contributions to society. Applicants must excel academically, exhibit exceptional leadership potential, participate in community service activities and demonstrate financial need. The applicant must be a US citizen or hold a permanent resident visa card. Current college students are not eligible to apply. Each year, a minimum of ten students will be designated Ron Brown Scholars and will receive $10,000 annually for four years, for a total of $40,000. The recipients may use the renewable scholarships to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. Ron Brown Scholarships are not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline. FIRE's Freedom in academia Essay Contest
$1,000: Applicant must be a current student, have a cumulative high school grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.5 on a 4-point scale and have taken either the ACT or SAT test. Applicant must also be a high school or home school senior graduating or earning a GED who will enroll for Fall 2014 as a freshman at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.

Submit your artwork with a brief description of why you chose that particular moment. The brief description is just to give us some context, so make sure your art tells the story. Make sure that you submit your work in a form we can view. If you are making a video: put it on YouTube, send us the link with the description, and upload a screenshot for the photo portion. All media will be accepted and you don't have to be an artist to enter.

Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2014. Earn a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.5 or above. Receive standardized test scores in the top 15%: SAT combined critical reading and math score of 1200 or above (must test by October 5, 2013) and/or ACT composite score of 26 or above (must test by September 21, 2013). Demonstrate significant unmet financial need. We will consider applicants with family income up to $95,000. However, we anticipate that a majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive a Pell grant.

BBG provides the Youth Volunteer Scholarship Award to recognize and reward a student who demonstrates a passion for volunteering, while maintaining a high level of academic achievement. Over the past 2 years a student must have completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteer work. Over the past 2 years a student must have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or greater.
