-Students will be able to express opinions in class discussion and individual journal topics.

-Students will be able to take notes using the Cornell method.

-Students will be able to create a Works Cited page.

-Students will be able to cite within an essay.

-Students will be able to complete an essay outline.

-Students will be able to pre-write and peer edit.

-Students will be able to comprehend the plot and characters in The Canterbury Tales.

-Students will understand characterization, setting, point of view.
