  • Qualified faculties & interested students.

  • Availability of a departmental small library but fortified with educational test and psychological test apparatus.

  • The faculty members are registered detaching & Evaluator of IGNOU Answer Scripts.

  • The commerce department is the only department in the district having Hons teaching facility & wider placement opportunity.

Weakness

  • Department lacks adequate no. of teaching staff.

  • Non existence of Honours Programme in all commerce subjects till date.

Opportunity

  • The programme offers extensive career option in higher education and teaching profession as well as self employment ventures.

  • The department imparts education to SC /ST & Non- Odia speaking students who forms a majority and supposed to transmit educational values to next generation and growth of business empire.

Challenge

  • Non existence of adequate feeder institutions in +2 & +3 levels.

  • Non existence of professional courses & Add-on courses in the commerce department, which hinders the expansion of department & mercantile value in the district.

  • The outside private company are showing little interest for organising campus placement fair in the college as because it is a LWE infected and remote district of the state.
