Life Goals Essay Outline Template

Directions: When writing your essay, each of these sections should contain clear and precise narrative descriptions relating to your goals in each of these four categories (high school, college, career & personal)

  1. Introduction: Cite a specific goal for each category (one or more)—Remember quality vs. quantity here!

  1. Current Action: What are you (or could you be) doing right now to reach each goal? Cite specific examples of something you’ve done recently to reach your goal. (i.e.” I attended a post-secondary seminar hosted by the Von Steuben Counselors to teach me how to determine and select “match” “reach” and “safety” schools.” OR “I have begun attending tutoring for Algebra two mornings a week.” OR “I recently asked my doctor during an office visit what advice she has for high school students who’d like to pursue a career in medicine. “)
