Alphonse Capone



Introduction

Have you ever heard of Al Capone? Well Al Capone is a famous gangster. He sold iligle liccer and earned over 60 million and he killed a ton of people in his lifetime. He never finished school. These are just som of the things that make him one of the best known criminals.



Body
Al Capone was born in Brooklyn in 1899. He was a good student in school until sixth grade when he started to fall behind. He began to hang out with the wrong kind of group. He stopped going to school after the teacher hit him and the principle beat. Him and his family moved to the out skirts of Brooklyn, where he met his future wife and mentor. In 1917 he was employed by Frankie Yale as a Bartender.

Al Capone is known as the most notorious gangster of all time. He has many offenses from selling illegal liqiure to Saint Valentines Day Massacre. He made 60 million dollars annually selling illegal liqiure. During the Saint Valentines Day Massacre he killed seven of his rival Bugs Moroan’s men in a north side garage. Al Capones criminal life is one of the most memoribale lifestyles.



After the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre, President Herbert Hoover told the federal government to step up its efforts to get capone on income tax evasion. When he went to court he made a bargin with the judge, but the judge said he would not honor the agreement so capone, quickly withdrew his guilty plea. Capone was found guilty and sent to prison for 11 years. He spent his first two years in federal prison in Atlanta but then, was sent to Alcatraz in 1934. Capone began to suffer from poor health, after 6 years in prison he was sent to a mental hospital in Batamore. Capone lived out his last days with his wife in Miami, and died of cardiac arrest on January 25, 1947.

Conclusion

Al Capone, once labeled public enemy number one, was born in to a humbly, honest home where he grew up a honest boy, until his later years. He started out with street gangs in Brooklyn and bar tender but quickly rose in to the criminal life. He was responsible for bootlegging, prostitution, murdur, and much more. He was finally arrest for income-tax evasion and served six and half years and died shortly after.
