Part A
Action plan for quality enhancement:-
Report of various working committees was analysed and necessary changes were made in the planning.
Infrastructure facility has been extended and construction of 12class rooms on the first floor is in progress with financial assistance of the management.
Created more opportunities for Faculty Students interaction.
More computers were added to computer lab.
Power point presentation was practiced.
Evaluation of teachers was conducted.
Six Unit test terminal and the test examinations were conducted and the students were given the feed back.
All the activities of the college were run as scheduled in academic calendar.
MRP were made compulsory for all the teachers.
Part B
1. Activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the institution:
Sports and Games have a special place in this Institution. The Institution takes every care in all round development of the students.
Academic excellence and building intellectual capacity to search for truth and knowledge is the primary focus of the institution. Regular contact classes, exposure programs, update of knowledge by guest lecturers, study fora, library update are some of the activities in pursuit of this aspect of development.
Social Development: - is achieved through NSS, NCC activities and Extension committee and value Education committee, Gandhiam Study Centre.
Career development Guidance and counselling is provided to the students by organizing guest lecture of expert’s persons. Work Shop was organised to teach Interview Technique and Personality development Guest lectures were organised on the topic how to prepare for various competitive examinations. Various studies forum were set in the college for instance commerce forum was inaugurated and Dr. Shri Dongardive joint Director Amravati region was the chief guest. General knowledge competition was organized and 200 students were participated prizes were given for their outstanding performance.

Guest lecturers were organized to prepare the students for various competitive examinations.
A workshop was organized for IAS examination coaching and Dr. Nareshchandra Kathole gave necessary guidance to the students.
A guest lecture on e-scholarship was organized by social welfare department in the college.
Computer skills Development:- Computer centre of the college has prepared modules for students and staff and they are trained in various aspects of computers operating. MSCIT courses and short courses like C+, Java, and Tally were taught to the student at minimum cost for staff undergoing MSCIT course provision was made in the time table for adjustment.
Spiritual Development:- This institution respects every religion. Different program are arranged to inculcate values of life in the students. Gandhian thought study centre further adds to it. The holistic education is given in this college not merely as a tool to make a living but art of living is also taught through different activities. Celebration of Guru Pornima, Sharada usstav and holding assembly (mass prayar) are important features of the college.
2. New academic programmes initiated (UG and PG): New Professional courses like
BBA, BCA, MCM, M.Com were introduced.
3. Innovations in curricular design and transaction:
Semester pattern has been introduced at B. Sc. I Home Science level as well as for M.Com. I and II level. Semester pattern has been extended in B.sc Part I, II, III HomeSci & B.com Part I, II, III and three elective subjects like personality development, communication skill andYoga were introduced at B.Sc part I home science level. Computer fundamental and operating system was introduced at B.Com part I level andsubject like internet and World Wide Web and essentials of E-Commerce was introducedin the curriculum of B.Com part III. Subject computer application in business was introduced in curriculum of M.Com part
I. Elective subject were added to the curriculum of M.Sc part II F&N for 3rd Semester.
4. Inter – disciplinary Program started: Nutrition counselling programs for the Benefit of the Commerce and Arts students has been started by Dr. Anjali Rajwade and Dr. Kumudini Dhore and students.
5. Examination reforms implemented: Six Unit test, Terminal Examinations and test examinations were conducted regularly and study materials, Question Papers were computerized. Performance was communicated to the students.
6. Candidates qualified: NET/SET/GATE etc. 4 candidates cleared NET
7. Initiative towards faculty development programme:
Three teachers were deputed for Ph. D. work in 11 plan of UGC under FIP scheme.
Teachers were granted duty leaves for University work as well as to participate in seminar workshops and conferences.
Eligible teachers were relieved to joint Refreshers courses and Orientations program.
Pay fixation of teaching and non teaching staff was done as per 6th pay commission
8. Total number of seminars/workshops conducted:
1. One work shop was conducted for non teaching staff.
2. State level, conference in the subject of Music and Economics were organized by the college.
A workshop on environmental protection was organized for two days and Dr.Rajabhau Bhuyar was the chief Guest.
4. Workshop on the flower arrangement was organized by Home Science department.

Courses were carried out by the students. The feedback was collected and analysed and the necessary instruction were given to the teachers for improvements

Admissions to under graduate courses were started immediately after the declaration of result of XIIth Std. Examination.
Notice for admission were given in the news papers and also displayed on the Notice Board in the college.
To have a transparency in the admission students were admitted on the merit basis considering the marks of previous examination passed b y the students.
Cut off percentage for admission to under graduate courses is 35%
Admission to the various reservation categories were made as per the govt. norm.
For admission to Arts, Commerce and Home-sciences there were different committee consisting of three to four members.
Admission form of the students and the documents required were checked by admission committee and direct admission were given to the students.
Enrolments forms were filled by the students at the time admission.
Fees structure laid down by Amaravati University was followed.

26. Increase in the infrastructural facilities:-
Construction of the women hostel with a financial assistance from UGC in 10th plan was started as per the plan and estimates approved by UGC for this purpose a grant of Rs. 1 crore was sanctioned by UGC as a special scheme. Construction work is in progress.
Gandhian study centre (UGC Approved) was inaugurated with the hand of Shriman. Natwarlalji Chaudhary Sr. Member of Bhartiya Seva Sadan and freedom fighter.
UGC, NRC was set up with financial assistance of UGC. It is air conditioned and provided with six computers and 24 hours internet connectivity of BSNL with SP100 mbps.
Plan and estimates for proposal of construction of ladies toilet and extension of reading room were approved by UGC and a grant of Rs. 2lacs and 9 lacs respectively was sanctioned by UGC. Both the construction works were started.
Rs. 1, 30,000 were spending for purchase of computer software.
27. Technology upgradation:
Rs. 1, 30,000 were spend for purchase of computer software.
New equipments, computers, printers, generator were made available out of the additional assistant sanctioned by UGC to the college.
Water purifiers were installed for providing drinking water facility to the students and staff.
New software was added for office administration.
28. Computer and internet access and training to teachers and students: Modules were
Prepared for the staff and the students to have basic knowledge of computer work 10 teachers and 140 students took the advantage of it. Internet facility with Broad Band was made available for the staff.
29. Financial aid to students:-
In this academic session 40 poor students were exempted from the payment of cycle stand charges and colleges development fund.
Rs. 12818 were collected from the staff as a fund for helping the poor students and 14 students were given financial help for purchase of notebooks.
Rs. 20000 were contributed by the teachers of Home Science department towards the student aid fund was collected from the staff and tuitions fees of 6 students was paid and books were given to 11th students.
30. Support from the Alumni Association and its activities:
Alumni Association was strengthened and more ex students were registered.
Ex students were invited in Social gathering to present their own programs .
Alumni Association meeting were held twice in a academic session.
They were invited to share their experiences regarding the jobs.
31. Support from the Parent – Teacher Association and its activities:
Parent’steacher’s association meeting was held in a session and parents were allowed to talk their difficulties.
The parents were also informing regarding the attendance of their wards in the classes.
Parents were invited in the prize distribution program and social gathering of the college.
32. Health services:-
Blood donation camp was arranged in the campus and the blood groups of 600 students were tested with the help of civil hospital Akola and 20 students donated the blood they were awarded certificates.
Water purifiers were installed to provide purified drinking water to the students and staff.
Medical check up camp was organized in the college and students were examined by Dr. Mrs. Deshmukh and necessary guidance was given to them.
Guest lecture by Dr. Mrs. Sandhya Joshi was organized on women diseases and their Health.
Anaemia and Diabetes Diagnostic camp was held in campus in collaboration with Govt. medical college and obestrics society and 300 students and 45 staff members were examined and were provided necessary consultant.
Medicinal Plant Garden was developed in the college campus by Mrs. M V. Kalne.
Slide show on the Green Home Technology was organized in the college and Dr. P L. Kale associate professor from PKV was Chief Guest for this program.
33. Performance in sports activities: -
Students have actively participated in the intercollegiate Cricket, Kabaddi, and Holly Ball Tournaments.
Participated in Judo and Basket Ball competitions.
NCC Activities
Ku. Manisha Ingle and Ku. Pooja Dubey have participated in the NIC (national Integrity Camp) held at Nagaland.
Ku. Isha Nand, Ku. Shivani Chavan, Ku. Pooja Sandanshiv has represented Maharashtra state in the NIC Camp held at Bhuvaneshwar.
Ku. Sampada Sontakke participated in the medical camp held at Pune.
NCC cadates have participated in the pulse polio camp.

Late Shrimati Radhadeviji Goenka memorial inter collegiate debate competition was held in the college and 26 students of participated the topic of the debate was Rashtrabhakt Babasaheb Ambedkar.
36. Activities of the Guidance and Counselling Cell:
Students were given guidance for various competitive examinations through the guest lectures of expert person similarly study materials for MPSC, UPSC, Banking Examinations was given through library.
37. Placement service provided to students:- Placement cell of the college is active and Twenty different companies were invited to campus for job placement. 200 students were screened and 45 students were selected for the jobs.
38. Development programmes for non-teaching staff:
Non teaching staff members were given computer training.
They were permitted to join the work shop and the camps organized by joint director office Amravati regions.
39. Best practices of the institution:
A seminar on women health and their problem was organized and eminent gynecologist and physicians were invited for this program and necessary guidance was provided to the students.
Sharda Usttav was celebrated.
Teacher’s day was celebrated on 5th September and teachers were honored.
Hindi Day was observed on 14th September.
Permanent staff were given emergency loan facility for Rs. 20000/- , long term loan of Rs. 400000/-, and grain advance of Rs. 20000/-through Credit society of the college.
Some of the poor students were exempted from the payment of the college development fund and cycle stand charges.
30 trees were planted in the college campus.
Fairwel programmes were arranged for the staff member who was retired through the fund contributed by teaching and non-teaching staff.
Wel-come functions were arranged for new students which were admitted to the college.
Concept of the gardian teacher has been introduced and 20 students are allowed per teacher in order to understand problem and difficulties of the students.
Cultural programmes like One Act Play, Classical Dances, Mimicry, Group Dances, and Fashion Show were organized by the students at the time of social gathering of the college. It provides the platform for the students.
Mass assembly was regularly conducted on every Tuesday.
Late Shrimati Savitridevi Mukharji intercollegiate debate competition was held in memory of our founder principal and 30 students were participants and running trophy was awarded by the college to the winner team.
Information Technology workshop at district level was held.
Workshop on Right to information act was organized.
Rally on AID awareness was organized by NSS students.
Workshop on the flower arrangement was organized.
Earn while you learn scheme was implemented for 3 days Dr. Subhash Bhadange Principal of Shri. Shivaji College Akola visited the stalls and has appreciated the students.
Guru Poornima was celebrated as a mark of begigning of academic session.
Maharashtra day was celebrated on first of May. NCC cadets presented guard of honour and Principal Dr. Mrs. Mohod carried out the flag hosting.
NSS camp was organized at adopted village Kanheri Sarap 10 km. from Akola 80 students have participated in the camp. Activities like cleaning of village, Morning Prayer, Medical Check up camp for villagers, guest lectures were conducted.
69th Foundation Day of the society, 108th birth anniversary of founder president late Mataji Smt. Radhadeviji Goenka and the Social Gathering of the college was celebrated honourable Shri. Rathod Saheb DIG of Police Amravati region and honourable shriman Ganesh Thakur commissioner Amravati region were the guest of honours.
Inauguration of Gandhian study centre was held in October 2010. Dr. Shri Bhupendraprasadaji Modi HOD of Mahatma Gandhi International Hindi University Wardha was chief guest.
Home Science form was inaugurated and Dr. Mrs. Asha Mirage was chief guest.
Shikitiz foundation organized stall at Rakhee Festival and blind students have sold Rakhees prepared by them.
Nirbhay Bano Program was conducted in the camps by Police department. DySP Shri. Sudhir Hirmath, PSI Nayana Pohekar gave the guidance to the students regarding self protection.
