3.3.1 What are the research facilities available to the students and researchScholars within the campus?

The following major facilities have been developed and are available in theCollege to facilitate research

  • Well equipped central library

  • Availability of Reference.

  • Well equipped lab

  • Seminar/ Conference Hall

3.3.2 What are the institutional strategies for planning, upgrading and creating infrastructural facilities to meet the needs of researchers especially in the new and emerging areas of research?

Strategies to meet the needs of researchers:

  • Provision of Upgraded desktop computers in various departments

  • E-resources (e-journals, e-publications, e-Books) can be accessed with desktops and laptops through intra & internet

  • Uninterrupted power supplied to all departments

  • The college has a general library and e-resources to cater to the needs of researchers

3.3.3 Has the institution received any special grants or finances from the industry or other beneficiary agency for developing research facilities? If ‘yes’what are the instruments/ facilities created during the last four years.

Staff members are deputed by the college under the FIP scheme of UGC for research work and the substitute teachers are appointed as per the UGC norms and salary of substitute teacher is received by the college from UGC



3.3.4 What are the research facilities made available to the students andresearch scholars outside the campus / other research laboratories?

Post graduate students outside research scholorshave been given special library facility and reading room facility.

Reaearch guidance is given to Ph.D and M.Phil students.

3.3.5 Provide details on the library/ information resource centre or anyother facilities available specifically for the researchers?

The college has a well-established information resource centre in the form of Books and Journals.

In this context the library is well-stocked with 34000 books. The research scholars and faculty members are provided with networking, offline to facilitate their research. The library facility is available till 5:00 p.m. to enable the research scholars to pursue their research work.

3.3.6 What are the collaborative researches facilities developed / created by the research institutes in the college? For ex. Laboratories, library, instruments, computers, new technology etc.

Shri. V.L. Agrawal is carringout research work in the field of Hetero cyclic chemistry and has established link with SAIF IIT Mumbai and with Microbiology departmemt and chemistry department of Shri. Shivaji College, Akola.
