ONE DAY NATIONAL WORKSHOP on EMPOWERING THE WOMEN IN THE WORKPLACE &CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY Organised at Kilachand Rangh Bhavan on 5th March, 2015.
In this workshop, there were 330 participants. Amongst participants, there were postgraduate students, M. Phil., Ph. D students, Teaching and non teaching faculty from university campus, teachers from affiliated colleges of HNGU and other parts of Gujarat. The workshop was attended by both male and female participants.
To achieve the above objectives of the workshop, an essay writing competition was organized on topic Multitasking and Modern Women. 25 students participated in the essay competition and Joshi Puja P.(from Arts college, NEGS,Patan) Sukanya and Manisha Sharma( from Architecture Department, HNGU, Patan) were declared as First, Second and third in the above essay writing competition. The essays were evaluated by Dr. K. L. Rathod, Assoc. Prof. Commerce and Management Dept. H. N. G. U., Patan.
Objectives of the workshop:
The removal of barriers to the full and equal participation of women in the workforce.
Informally Department of life science including Environment Science and Microbiology was associated with various activities for awareness creation and environment protection. Department was involved in planting new species of plant in saraswati on university campus with financial assistance from Sardar Sarovar Narmada Nigam.
Coaching for competitive exam: During the year of report 2013-14 special coaching was arranged under the aegis of Smt. Vidyaben Deepchandbahi Gardichair for GPSC, Bin Sachivalay Clerk, Psi/Asi, Dy/So, Mamlatdar, SLET, TET, exam in which more than 350 students were enrolled.
Awrness Programmes : For creating awareness among students Pathfinder Free Seminar Gardichair With B.D School, IBPS/ Po Free Seminar, GPSC Awareness Free Seminar were organized which benefited more than 250 students.
Abhimanyu Award-2015 :Abhimanyu Award-2015 was organized during February 2015 in which at first level from more than 120 colleges, 7660 students have participated. Out of which top two students from each college were selected for level 2 test on campus and top 10 students were selected for the level three competition. Abimanyu awrd was given to the topper student in level three. As Abhimanyu Award trophy and tablet PC was given to the first whereas books as a price was given to more than 220 students.
Central Government recruitment study center (CGRSC): MoU was done with SPIPA, Regional training center, Mehsana and CGRSC and during the year and coaching was given to more than 50 students in tw0 batches
To prepare the Self-study report for NAAC reaccreditation
To increase the scoring in forth coming NAAC reaccreditations.
To increase the transparency and speed in admission, exam and result process.
To increase the consultancy and extension services.
Establish the linkages with reputed institutions at National and International level.
