BASIC FORMAT

  • PARAGRAPH 1: introduces the thesis and directs the reader to the three main supporting subtopics.
  • PARAGRAPHS 2 – 4: individually restates the subtopics and provide supporting information.
  • PARAGRAPH 5: restates the main thesis idea and reminds the reader of the three main supporting ideas that were developed.

    • Many great civilizations have had an effect on our modern world.

    • One of the greatest and most influential civilizations of the Asian region was the Assyrians.
  • Review of subtopics
    • The geographical location of their civilization, their well organized government, and their strong religious beliefs and social structure all combined to make the Assyrians one of the world’s great civilizations.

BODY OF ESSAY
