COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

HIGHLIGHTED CLASSES ARE NEW OFFERINGS FOR THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR
DISCIPLESHIP 6 CREDITS ($150)

A course that stresses the importance of believing. Discipleship is modeling and teaching Christians the precepts of the Bible - mainly prayer, doctrine, Christian living, and worship.



BS 102 BIBLE SURVEY 8 CREDITS ($200)

Bible Survey is a basic course in Bible Study. This course gives a birds-eye view of the Bible. Bible Survey shows you how to use the Bible Systematically and also enjoy the Bible while studying it. You will learn the who, what, why and how in the course of studying the Bible.




  • OLD TESTAMENT - The Old Testament class in Bible Survey brings forth the reality of the Old Covenant between god and man. This course will show you a shadow of things to come. You will learn that the Old Testament is a school master. This course will be a strong stepping stone to more advanced courses in your endeavor of studying the word of God.




  • NEW TESTAMENT - The New Testament class in Bible Survey brings forth the reality of the new covenant between God and man. This course will be a strong stepping stone to more advanced courses in your endeavor of studying the word of God.



BS 103 CHRISTIAN GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT 6 CREDITS ($150)

A course that teaches foundational principles, to help new converts to practically apply Christian truth to his/her Christian lifestyle it is recommended for new converts and teachers.



GE 111 ENGLISH 6 CREDITS ($150)

A course in essential English Grammar and usage, including sentence diagramming. It is designed to improve communication skills through a study of basic essay structure.

BS 112 EVANGELISM 6 CREDITS ($150)

This course is designed to prepare students for evangelic work. Involves man's lost condition and the love of God manifested in provisions for that condition. Students will learn the essentials of sermon preparation and delivery. Hermeneutics and systematic theology.



BS 113 FAITH DYNAMICS I 6 CREDITS ($150)

A concentrated study of what the essence of true faith is as it relates to the believer in every aspect of life. The student will learn divine principles of faith that will cause one to live this life in harmony with God and His Word. This course is a must for those who want to build their faith in God.



BS 115 GENERAL BIBLE I 8 CREDITS ($200)

Prerequisite: Bible Survey

Study of the Old & New Testaments with emphasis placed on the personal and divine life, covenants, and dispensation. This course also covers typology and homiletics.



BS 116 GENERAL BIBLE II 8 CREDITS ($200)

Prerequisite: General Bible I

This course will introduce predictive prophecy with an in-depth research of the Old Testament prophets and prophecy. Students will study the law, writings and Pslams systematic theology.



BS 120 INTERCESSORY PRAYER 6 CREDITS ($150)

The church has been called by Jesus Himself, a House of Prayer in Matt. 21:13. Therefore, it is the purpose of this course to provide information to the principle and depth of prayer., Through a thorough study and practical application, students will be equipped with the desire, discipline and delight to fulfill His call, as a house of prayer. This course will be broken down into two basic components. There will be one hour of instruction on prayer, followed by one hour of cooperate prayer and intercession.

TH 126 POST GRADUATE I: 8 CREDITS ($200)

Prerequisite: General Bible II)

This course offers a critical examination of comparative religion, and a detail study in Bible Origin, Science and the Bible. The student will study interpretive and critical history of the Christian Church from AD 100 to the crusades, reformation, Eschatology and issues in Christian theology.
BS 134 THE BOOK OF ST. JOHN 6 CREDITS ($150)

A verse by verse analysis of the Gospel of John. Emphasis is placed on the Deity of Christ, His life, and deeper discourses, conversations, prayers and communication. Attention will be given to its literary character in relationship to the synoptic Gospels and historical setting.
