  • Worked with students, families and administration to guide juniors and seniors through the college admissions process. Guidance in all areas from generating lists to making the most of college visits and interviews, essay and resume advice, help with financial aid, etc.

  • Communicated with college representatives at universities nationwide.

  • Assisted College Counseling Director in updating all major college office publications, including website, college counseling handbook, and Berkeley Carroll fact sheet for college representatives.

  • Wrote letters of recommendation for half of each graduating class.

  • Reviewed all faculty recommendations and supported guidance as requested.

  • Coordinated with outside college counselors for students attending school through diversity initiatives like TEAK, Prep for Prep and the Oliver Scholars.

  • Initiated school’s first “boot camp,” a day-long program that helped seniors jump-start their application process before classes began.
