Corruption means any misuse of a status of trust to gain advantage of their position. This involves the presence of both the parties: that of the person who misuses his position as well as that of the person who seeks to gain an advantage.

Corruption can occur be seen in the context of officials as well as between private persons. It is particularly predominant in certain kinds of transactions, in certain economic sectors, and in certain countries. Corrupt practices can vary from small nepotisms in expectation of a future advantage to the payment of large sums of money to senior members of governments.

We can see in the map and the graph given below that corruption is majorly seen in developing countries. Why is that? This is mainly because of the poverty and low income of people. They tend to do such corrupt activities when they can’t support their families.
