Biography

Dr. Derek Reed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Behavioral Science at the University of Kansas where he directs the Applied Behavioral Economics Laboratory. Derek has published over 100 peer reviewed papers, coauthored three edited books, and was the 2016 recipient of the American Psychological Association Division 25 B. F. Skinner Foundation New Applied Researcher Award. Derek's research investigates the role of reinforcer pathologies (i.e., excessive demand for a commodity interacting with impulsive choice) of addiction and addictive behaviors.
