The reality of essay writing is familiar to both teachers and students: namely, that students want to write good essays, but, for some reason, often don’t or can’t. The purpose of this guide is to help teachers help students to write better essays.


An important aspect to teaching any concept is ensuring that students from differing cultures and differing learning styles are having their needs met.
Differentiating instruction is a teacher’s response to learner’s needs, guided by general principles of differentiation, such as, respectful tasks, flexible grouping and ongoing assessment and adjustment. Teachers can differentiate content, process and product according to student’s readiness, interests and learning profile through a range of instructional and management strategies.
The intent of differentiating instruction is to maximize each student’s growth and individual success by meeting each student where he or she is, and assisting in the learning process.
