Subject Overview
Environmental Law is one of compulsory subjects. Environmental law is available in the odd semester. The prerequisite course is Administrative law. Broadly speaking, this course includes: environmental problems ( destruction and / or environmental pollution ) the world's attention issues of environment and development , sustainable development , the role of religion ( Islam ) ethics, and environmental wisdom , the role of women in environmental management , the urgency of environmental law, the rights and obligations, and prohibition, public participation in environmental management , and enforcement of environmental law including private law sanctions and criminal law sanctions .
STANDARD OF COMPETENCY

Environmental Law is one of compulsory subjects. Environmental law is available in the odd semester. The prerequisite course is Administrative law. Broadly speaking, this course includes: the historical background of environmental law in Indonesia,The environmental problems in Indonesia, the subjects and sources of environmental law in Indonesia, the principles of Environmental law in Indonesia, the role of green consuments to materialize the objective of sustainable development, the relationship between Development and Environmental Protection and Environmental Management, the Islamic Perspective of Environmental Protection and Environmental Management, the Ethic, environmental wisdom and the role of woman in environmental protection and environmental management in Indonesia, the rights, obligations and prohibitions in environmentla protection and environmental management in Indonesia, the permit system in environmental Protection and environmental Protection in Indonesia, the environmental impact assessment in environmental management and environmentala protection in Indonesia, the role of environmental audit in environmental management and environmental protection in Indonesia, the institutional body of environmental management and environmentala protection in Indonesia, the role of public participation in environmental protection and environmental management, the role of environmental organization in environmental protection and environmental management, the monitoring and administrative sanction in the violation of environmental protection and environmental management, the dispute settlement in Indonesian environmental law, such as using the private law, administrative law and criminal law for environmental crime, the Class action Mechanism in environmental cases

It includes :

A student who has successfully completed the subject should be able to:

Assessment:

Each student has obligation to write a research essay on selected topics which are determined by the lecturer in line with subject matter which discuss in class, then the essay will be presented individually by the student after mid term ( week 9)



Due in week or meeting 8 and 16.

A written examination, 90 minutes (closebook).

Assignment and Presentation : 20 %

Mid Test : 35 %

Final Test : 45 %

Assesment Procedures:

  1. The Lecturer makes note to the student participation during the learning process

  2. Assignments has to be submitted the first week after mid term

  3. Mid Semester Examination organized by the Faculty

  4. Final Examination organized by the Faculty

  1. Introduction

  2. Statement of Problems

  3. Objective of the Research Paper

  4. Funding of the reserach

  5. Conclusion


Class Rules:

  1. Student has to attend class on time

  2. Students have to participate during the class discussion and during the learning process



Attendance:

Minimum of attendance during one semester is 75 %
