Volleyball has a district match tomorrow at HOME vs. Madison Central. JV starts at 5:30 and Varsity is at 6:30. This is an important match and we need as many students there to cheer! Please come support the Lady Arrows!
GET READY CHS ARROWS- Homecoming week is almost here!!! DECA will be helping you show your arrow spirit by selling homecoming t-shirts. CHS Homecoming t-shirts will be sold Monday September 14 thru Thursday September 20. The shirts come in three colors: white, grey and yellow. They also come in long and short sleeve styles. The cost of a short sleeve will be 13.00 and long-sleeve 15.00. Order your shirt from a DECA student during homeroom or stop E201 and see Mrs. Ferguson.
Homecoming Tickets will be on sale through Friday, September 21. Tickets are $10 each and are being sold by all Student Council members. All dance attendees must be between the ages of 14-20 AND 9th grade or above. Any CHS student bringing a date from another school will need to fill out the form located outside Ms. Tompkins's room (W211) or Ms. Nance's room (E105). These forms, along with a visible copy of a photo ID, must be turned in by noon on Monday, September 24. If you have any questions, please see a Student Council member, Ms. Tompkins or Ms. Nance.

CHS Book Club: If you love to read and share good books with other readers, you may want to join the book club. We meet the second Thursday of the month right after school. See Mrs Ottis (E116) for an information sheet. The October book is Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.
Juniors: The Herff Jones Representative will be back to take class ring orders on Thursday, September 20th during lunch. Please bring your deposit of $60 at this time. Ordering information can be picked up in the front office.
NHS members: There are several projects listed in W207 for the next 2 weeks. Please come by W207 to sign up and fill these spots.
REGULAR PARKING DECALS will be on sale during Homeroom in the commons. You must have your tag information with you in order to purchase a decal. The cost is $5.00.

NHS Members: Club Dues of $5 are being collected each Tues and Thurs. from 7:50 to 8:15 at the east wing entrance (History Hall). These dues must be paid no later than Tues. Sept. 25
FEA membership fees (12.00) are due no later than October 2 to Mrs. Greene or Mrs. Ottis. Also, sign up for Family Read Night in one of their classrooms.

2012 Yearbooks for juniors and seniors can be picked up in room W109 during 4/5 or after school. Please do not interrupt class to pick up your book.
Sumner Hill Yearbooks will be delivered sometime in September. Books will be distributed through homerooms here at CHS.
Any student interested in going to Spain this summer should come pick up information from Mr. Freeny in W113.
GUIDANCE OFFICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Clinton High School College Night will be held on September 17th @ 6:30 in the cafeteria.
Colleges and Universities throughout the state of Mississippi will be represented as well as some Universities from other states.
Education Services Foundation will conduct 30 minute "Mini Workshops" entitled "Now is the Time. Financial Aid Starts Here!"
All students and parents are invited to attend.
The CHS Parent Teacher Organization is the sponsor of the CHS College Night
Get 2 College/Education Services Foundation will be awarding 50, $1,000 scholarships to students who participate in their 500 word essay contest. Essay topics are "You've just written a 300 word autobiography. Send us page 217." Completed application and essay is due Dec. 1st. The applications can be found in the Career Center in the Counseling Office or online at www.get2college.org.
The PSAT/NMSQT will be given on Wednesday, October 17th. The test fee is $14.00. The PSAT/NMSQT measures critical reading, mathematical reasoning and writing skills. The PSAT/NMSQT is used by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as an initial screen of students for its programs. All 10th grade honor students are required to take the PSAT and have been registered. Other students wishing to take the PSAT must sign up in the Counselor's office on Tuesday, September 18 through Friday, September 21. The test fee of $14.00 must be paid at the time of sign up. Money will be taken before school, 1st period, 2nd period and homeroom only
