Announcing Literary Magazine for Middle and High School Writers

We are offering an opportunity for your students to be featured in the third volume of Marion County Public Schools’ literary magazine, Agora.

Submission Categories: Poetry, Essay, Short Story, and Drama

Deadline: March 1, 2016

Guidelines:

All submissions must be typed by the student and submitted to the teacher.

No cover sheet is needed.

At top of submission: school name. (See example at bottom of page.)

Next line of submission: the name and email of the student’s teacher

Title of the work, genre, and student’s name

The teacher will submit student writing to Constance.Carpenter@marion.k12.fl.us by March 1st.

In the subject line, indicate school by using initials and the type of submission, for example, HMS – poetry.



March:

A committee of teachers and community members will read all submissions and determine which ones will be included in the literary magazine.



Early April:

Permission forms will be requested of those students whose writing is chosen to be included in the literary magazine. No writing will be included without a permission form.



Late April:

Magazine layout and printing



May:

Magazine delivery
